Squain Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-06-15

Welcome to Squain. Squain helps you and your group train together, compare your weekly effort, and cheer each other on. These Terms of Use explain the rules for using the app and what you can expect from us. Please read them carefully. They are written in plain language so that everyone can understand them. If anything here is unclear, you are welcome to reach out. Our contact details are at the bottom.

Acceptance

By creating an account, signing in, or using Squain in any way, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the app. Each time you use Squain, you confirm that you accept the most recent version of these terms.

These terms apply to everyone who uses Squain, whether you are a member of a group, the person who created a group, or simply trying the app out.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior

Squain has no tolerance for objectionable, harassing, hateful, or abusive content or users. This is a firm rule, and it applies to everyone, every time.

There is no place on Squain for content or behavior that is offensive, threatening, demeaning, or designed to hurt or intimidate another person. We take reports of such content and behavior seriously, we review them, and we act on them. People who post objectionable content or who behave abusively toward others can have their content removed, can be removed from a group, and can have their account suspended.

We expect every member to help keep Squain a positive and encouraging place. Treat the people you train with the way you would want to be treated.

Community conduct

Squain is a place to support each other and stay motivated. To keep it that way, the following are not allowed:

This list describes the most common kinds of unacceptable behavior, but it is not exhaustive. If something is clearly harmful, hostile, or abusive, it is not welcome on Squain even if it is not spelled out above.

Reporting and blocking

You are in control of your own experience on Squain, and we give you direct tools to protect it.

Reporting and blocking are there to keep you safe, and we encourage you to use them whenever you need to. Reports help us find and remove people who break these rules.

Consequences

When someone breaks these terms, we take action to protect the community. Depending on what happened and how serious it is, we may:

We may take any of these steps, and we may do so without prior notice when it is necessary to protect other people. A suspended account loses access to the app. If you believe your account was suspended in error, you can contact us using the details below.

Your account

You are responsible for your activity on Squain and for everything that happens under your account. Please keep your sign-in details secure and do not let anyone else use your account. If you think someone else has gained access to your account, contact us so we can help.

You agree to provide accurate information about yourself, such as the display name you choose to show to your group, and to keep your use of the app honest. You are responsible for making sure your use of Squain follows these terms.

Health and fitness information

Squain works with health and fitness information (your workouts, your heart rate, and the effort and strain score we calculate from them) to show you and your group your weekly effort. Because this information is sensitive, we handle it with care. For full details on what we collect, how it is used, and the choices and rights you have, please read our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

Squain is provided to you "as is" and "as available." We work hard to make the app useful and reliable, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, error-free, or perfectly accurate.

Squain is a fitness companion, not a medical service. The information in the app, including your effort and strain score, is for general fitness motivation only. It is not medical advice, and it should not be used to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about a health condition. Always listen to your body, train sensibly, and speak with a qualified health professional before starting, changing, or intensifying any exercise program, especially if you have any health concerns.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for any injury, loss, or harm that results from your use of Squain or from your reliance on the information it provides.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features or to make the rules clearer. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. By continuing to use Squain after the terms change, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree with a change, please stop using the app.
